Group Therapy

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a supportive and judgement free environment where individuals can disclose their experiences in addiction, gain insight to their issues, and receive encouragement on their journey in recovery.

Peer Support

Group therapy provides the opportunity for individuals to share their experiences with others who are facing the same challenges. This peer support offers a sense of connection, helps remove feelings of isolation, and provides a safe space to share your struggles and receive supportive feedback.

Shared Learning

Group therapy offers a space for individuals to learn from each other. Individuals can gain important insight, coping skills, and practical advice from their peers who have experienced similar situations. This also helps develop an awareness of behaviors that lead to addiction.

Accountability

Participating in group therapy provides a sense of accountability and motivation to change. Individuals can hold each other accountable for their actions and help them remain connected to the commitments they make to themselves in the recovery process.

Offering a Sense of Belonging

Group therapy is a vital step in the recovery process in helping individuals connect with each other and help one another heal from their addictions. At Strive Health & Wellness, we offer group therapy in every level of care. Group therapy helps foster a sense of belonging and connection. Processing emotions and experiences with each other provides a sense of understanding and empathy. Individuals will share coping strategies and relapse prevention techniques.

Group therapy also teaches individuals how to develop different coping skills, build healthy relationships, and process emotions. A strong healing and non-judgmental environment is necessary for individuals in the recovery process and is one of the most important steps for long term sobriety.
