IOP - Intensive Outpatient Program

An IOP - Intensive Outpatient Program is a step-down level of care from our PHP - Partial Hosiptalization Program. Strive Health & Wellness' IOP - Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured and comprehensive care while continuing to maintain your work and home life. Strive Health & Wellness offers 9 hours of group therapy per week, including individual sessions with our primary therapist.

The Strive Health & Wellness team will guide you through building a connection between treatment and your personal life. Getting back into the 'swing of things' after becoming sober can seem somewhat challening and overbearing. Strive Health & Wellness has peers on staff to help guide you every step of the way and bridge the gap from treatment to your personal life. With Strive Health & Wellness' IOP - Intensive Outpatient Program, you can still maintain all of your obligations while receiving the help and support you need on a daily basis.

IOP - Intensive Outpatient Program FAQS

IOP differs from inpatient care by providing a less restrictive environment. IOP offers more accountability than traditional outpatient, but does not require staying in a facility with 24 hour supervision.

An IOP session usually last three hours per day, and three days per week. More intense levels of IOP can be offered such as three hour per day, and five days a week. These session include group therapy along with individual counseling as well.

An IOP program can last anywhere from one to three months. IOP stays can be a little longer than traditional inpatient care. This is to help individuals reacclimate back into the real world slowly by offering enough therapeutic support over time to build a long sustainable foundation for recovery.

Yes, one of the advantages of attending IOP is to allow individuals to continue their daily routines while also receiving help. We encourage individuals to build their life back and help fill their time with work and school in order to grow a bright and sober future.
